Purpose
To hear views on our draft version of the short breaks service statement.
Description
The current short breaks service statement for children and young people with disabilities and additional needs has been reviewed. We want to know if the new document is useful and understandable by its intended audience, which is mainly parents and carers of children and young people with disabilities and additional needs.
The local authority is required to publish this statement to provide information about what its short breaks programme offers. The statement covers the whole range of short breaks, from daytime activities like playschemes to more intensive support including overnight short breaks. The statement is intended to help parents and carers of children and young people with disabilities to find out what is available to them in Hampshire and how to access services.
